ABOUT PT AT THE FIT COLLECTIVE

The Space

With our air conditioned studios the temperate stays appropriate for your workouts so you are never too hot or too cold.  Changing facilities are inclusive, with private spaces for all, and with rainfall showers and organic natural shower products all you need is a towel.  Lockers with keys are provided as well as spaces to store smaller items in each studio space. The studio spaces are accessible for those in wheelchairs or bringing prams and an accessible toilet and combined changing area is provided.

The Small Group Training Studio

Cool, contemporary, with nods to nature, our small group training studio has an upbeat spirit, designed to elicit an energetic response. With no phaff equipment, everything you need is within your reach for a great strength training workout, and our absorbent aqua boxing bags are used to get that heart rate up whilst developing your motor skills. It’s all so good for the body, and good for the mind.

The Personal Training Studio

What’s different about this place is it is all yours. You have your very own space to yourself with all the kit you need for a great workout. No waiting around for someone to finish, no worrying about rushing through your sets. The very clever stations have such a wide range of accessories to allow you versatile, interesting and highly effective workouts.

“What I love most about The Fit Collective is the team, they're really personable and friendly and they help keep me on track.”

Adam

With a career spanning 27 years in the fitness, personal training and education sector, Adam is a highly experienced fitness and personal training specialist, teacher, coach of coaches, corrective exercise specialist and author.

As a teenager, Adam began to enjoy learning about the workings and mechanisms of the body and how to improve his own fitness, training in local gyms and pursuing a career as a semi-pro youth team football player. After working  as a gym instructor, class teacher and personal trainer Adam studied Sport and Exercise science at university and particularly enjoyed exercise physiology, psychology of fitness and performance, endocrinology, nutrition science and coaching skills for fitness and sport.

Following successful completion of his degree, Adam worked as a personal trainer in a wide range of settings, and as a fitness recruitment manager at LA Fitness London.  He then embarked on his lecturing career at a London College, teaching and managing sport and exercise science, fitness instructor and personal training courses.  After becoming an advanced lecturer, he took on a role as a teacher coach, supporting teams of teachers and managers to improve teaching and learning in fitness education and other education programs nationally.

Adam returned to working in the industry as a personal trainer and opened his first gym several years ago.  He has been able to bring this wealth of knowledge and experience to The Fit Collective and is passionate about bringing the best service possible to our members.

Adam’s philosophy of training clients is a blend of working hard and challenging oneself, and by doing each exercise with the highest quality of movement possible. He excels at understanding lifestyle behaviours and helping people empower themselves to make significant, sustainable changes to their lives.

What Adam says:

There’s a lot of joy in seeing others become all they can be. Helping someone change their life for the better and sharing that journey with them is very rewarding to me and I love to see people realise they can achieve far beyond what they ever thought possible.

Having and running a fitness facility has helped me learn many valuable lessons. In this new facility, with such a great team and the support from all our members, the graft has been most definitely worth it.  Thank you all. Long may it continue.
